Depending on what is causing your pain, there may be an injection or procedure that our physicians can perform to help you. These injections and other procedures are performed in the Pain Management Center. Most people are ready after a short stay in our recovery area to go home within an hour.
Your doctor may tell you not to eat before your injection or procedure. It is always a good idea to bring someone to drive you home. In fact, for most injections or procedures, your doctor may require that you have a dedicated driver. Remember to tell us if you are on a blood thinner at the time your appointment is scheduled. Your pain management doctor will let you know if you need to be off your blood thinner for a few days before having your procedure and if blood work (PT/INR) needs to be done.
