Dr. Morris received his Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and completed masters' level work in immunology at the University of Tulsa. He then went on to the Oklahoma College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery (now OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery) and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He was the recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program from the United States Air Force. He was active duty in the Air Force and served as a Chief Flight Surgeon. He eventually retired from the Air Force as a Colonel and hospital commander.
He is board certified in family practice and practiced for 10 years in Tulsa Oklahoma. He then went on to complete his residency in anesthesiology. He practiced operative, obstetrical and pain management anesthesia and is board certified in anesthesia. He was selected to attend the Pain Management Fellowship program at the prestigious Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
He is board certified in Anesthesiology Pain Management. He is speaker on proper prescribing for multiple organizations. He founded the Pain Management Fellowship program at the OSU Health Sciences Center in Tulsa and continues to educate medical students and residents. He is skilled in all pain management procedures and medication management. He is board certified and fellowship trained in anesthesia pain management, the highest level of training and certification available.
